regardless of all the hype about new year’s, i am always totally into it. i get to look forward to epiphany, moments of reflection and orchestrating a new beginning. looking back on the year past and planning for the year ahead is FUN - i don’t care if you make too many plans, unreasonable ones, whatever. it’s fun to have the feeling of unlimited possibilities, right?

the humphreys have had a couple of busy, rough months. but, they have definitely been filled with incredible moments that are really continuing to shape ourselves in relation to each other. i feel more artistically inspired than i’ve felt in a looooooooong time, which is also promising. this blog will only continue to serve those inspirations as i gear up for a jam-packed year.

i’ve decided to take the whole of january to really set down what it is that i’d like to explore this year. how can i deepen my knowledge of myself? my faith? of theatre, film, performance? art, language, literature, design? i hope to share something new that i’ve learned, whether from personal experience or not, with you every week.

i miss tapping into that part of myself that was so active and alive during college/school and i’m excited to really discover that THAT is what i’ve been missing. I WANT TO LEARN!

happy 2012, ya’ll.

ps. updated some pages of the blog. i’ve got a 30 before i’m 30 list (currently working on it) and a link to my cooking/exercise blog! cause, let’s be real - catiegirl is totally cooking now.
